This time on The Pitch Deck, Lauren Jupiter is our very special guest. Lauren is the Co-founder and Managing Partner of AccelFoods, a platform that positions emerging food companies to scale efficiently through an operating team, industry engagement and impact capital. Lauren started her career in investment banking, covering the consumer products and retail space, focusing mostly on food and beverage companies. Having the opportunity to work hands on with a company, Lauren soon found that she loved being a part of the day-to-day and supporting a company’s growth. This realization helped her decide that she really wanted to support businesses in high growth markets or facilitate marketing in areas that she felt passionate about – the natural food and beverage market.
Once Lauren started looking, she soon realized that there really weren’t any existing companies that had a very involved, hands-on approach to working with food and beverage companies who need support, funding, mentorship and connections. After being introduced to her future business partner, AccelFoods was created, modeled after many of the companies offering this same funding and business help for emerging technology companies.
Lauren joins us today to discuss how she and AccelFoods are helping food and beverage companies break into regional, national and even worldwide distribution. Don’t miss Lauren’s break down of the pitch red flags, how to properly determine your projection and what to expect if you sign on with AccelFoods.
